GIORGIO 'MIDNIGHT EXPRESS' MORODER TEAMS UP WITH KYLIE AND OTHER 21ST CENTURY STARS
The electronic music wizard who was brought back to international recognition by Daft Punk last year, after virtually disappearing from the scene in the 1990s, is in the process of concluding an album of collaborations with performers such as Kylie Minogue (watch the video to their song 'Right Here, Right Now' below), Charli XCX, Sia, Lana Del Rey and Britney Spears.
It seems incredible, but the man who ruled the charts in the late '70s and '80s with hits such as 'I Feel Love' (with Donna Summer), 'Call Me' (with Blondie) and 'Electric Dreams' (with Phil Oakey of the Human League) and 'Take My Breath Away' (with Berlin) - and with soundtracks such as 'Midnight Express' (filmed in Malta) and 'Scarface', is now cool again... at the age of 74!
Daft Punk collaborated with the legend on their 'Random Access Memories' album last year (from which the smash hit 'Get Lucky' was taken) and even dedicated a track to him... since then, the keyboard wizard decided to accept the many offers of work that started coming his way again.
SWAG likes its dance and electronic music - and is also happy that a point has been scored against ageists everywhere. We can't wait to hear the new album. Until then, we'll enjoy this dance floor cracker with Kylie 'Hot Pants' Minogue...
