WATCH THIS AMAZING ESCAPE FOR RACE SPECTATORS AS CRASH MISSES THEM BY INCHES
Everyone's been talking about the Japan Grand Prix crash involving Jules Bianchi of the Marussia team (the 25-year-old is in a stable but still critical condition), but footage of another spectacular racing crash has emerged from an event held this weekend showing spectators having a lucky escape when a car left the track and crashed into the hillside where they were sitting.
The crash took place at the Jolly Rally in Italy's Valle d'Aosta. The tumbling Renault Clio passed within inches of the ten or so spectators, who can be seen desperately scrambling away from the incoming vehicle in footage of the incident.
None of the spectators were injured while driver Pietro Scavone and co-driver Diego D'Herin sustained minor injuries. One person from the crowd was treated for shock, according to the Italian La Repubblica newspaper.
