MISS BEHAVIOUR: 10 WAYS TO ENSURE SHE DOESN'T LEAVE YOU

So you’ve met that girl and she’s ‘the one’. But how do make sure you both avoid the temptaion to stray? Olga, SWAG’s very own MISS BEHAVIOUR shares her top 10 tips on how to make sure the magic never fades and every day feels like the first.

1. Always put the relationship first

The rest will take care of itself. Too many couples let things like work, children, friends or even hobbies take precedence over their relationships. Don’t! If your relationship is going well, the rest of your life will seem easier.

2. Switch off your mobile/tablet/television

Share a bottle of wine together, or your favourite meal. Lots of couples talk about quality time without really understanding what it means. Even if it’s just for an hour, you need private, uninterrupted time together to recharge your relationship’s batteries.

3. Buy her small presents

Whether it’s her favourite chocolate or some lingerie that will benefit you both, it’s vital to show that you think of her when you’re not together. There is something about remembering who she is and that she exists that helps to keep the love alive and the negative feelings away.

4. Change your routines

Have a bath together, or go to bed before dinner. We all get tired of routine – why do you think supermarkets are constantly changing their lay-out? We get bored otherwise. Change your bedroom round – the difference might even spice up your love life.

5. Share your hobbies

Find out what you both like doing and do it together. It’s important to share your spare time together, doing things you enjoy. Try and be patient if you, for example hate shopping, and explain to her, again patiently, what’s so great about motor racing on TV.

6. Get out of the house

Pull on your coats and go for a walk. You will discover that words come a lot easier in large, open spaces. The four walls of your home are restricting – so get out there together!

7. Be individual

Respect your differences. It’s good to share but you must be individual, too. If she likes paragliding, let her do it alone. If you enjoy your occasional boys’ night out, don’t let her tag along with you!

8. Listen to your partner

When she’s trying to tell you something, don’t walk out of the room to put the kettle on, browse your phone or talk over her. LISTEN! Pyschologists are inundated with people complaining that their partners don’t listen.

9. Don’t be afraid to get help

So many couples leave it to the last minute to seek professional help. By then, it can be too late. You should get help (together, not seek it from friends separately) when you come across the first “no entry” sign in your relationship. When you feel you’ve both reached a point where neither of you can agree to disagree – it’s definitely the time to get help.

10. Don’t forget to say I love you

No matter how unmanly it sounds, and how long you’ve been together, it’s important to say those words. Just that one small phrase will pick your partner up on a bad day.
