The Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood Circuit in Chichester, West Sussex, England that brings together types of road racing cars and motorcycles that would have competed during the circuit's original period of use: 1948–1966. Most attendess dress in period clothes and enjoy a festival of nostalgia featuring a classic atmosphere that also includes flypasts by classic aircraft.

It is one of the world's most popular motor race meetings and the only UK event which recreates the golden era of motor sport from the 1950s and 1960s.

SWAG reader (and well-known Maltese car collector) George Said was in attendance this weekend, and he sent us some exclusive pictures as well as a few clips of classic British aircraft buzzing the event. Among them was the extremely rare appearance of two Second World War Avro Lancaster bombers flying together.

These Lancasters are the only two flying examples (of thousands built) still in flying condition - but one of them is based in Canada, so seeing them together in the skies over Europe once again is truly a moment to savour for aviation enthusiasts. Watch George's clip of the classic bombers accompanied by three Spitfire fighters, as well as some other clips he sent us, below. There are also a number of pictures he took for us, to which we have added some others taken by British car magazines present at the event.

Our man also visited the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton - where he was treated to a rare flight by the museum's De Havilland Sea Vixen. The jet was a frequent visitor to Malta in the 1960s.
