HARRY GETS NETHERLANDS VICTORY RIGHT AND PREDICTS ENGLAND WIN
Malta and SWAG's own Harry the Psychic Hamster has predicted a win for England in tonight's big encounter with Italy, which, for the majority of the Maltese, is the biggest game of the World Cup by far... unless they meet again later in the competition of course. Watch the clip below to see how Harry is decisive in his foretelling, going straight to the England corner of our purpose-built, mini-stadium when asked to make his choice.
Going by recent previous results, it seems that Harry's second sight is taking a risk in pointing so vehemently to a red, white and blue victory over the azzuri, but considering that he totally predicted last night's demolition of Spain by the Netherlands, as well as Brazil's victory in the opening match, we think he may be on to something.
Although Harry predicted a draw in yesterday's other two matches, one must understand that World Cup prediction is a tough and unexact science, and psychic rodents may be led astray by visions of multiple disallowed goals as happened in the Mexico vs Cameroon encounter, or by the countless close chances the Australians had to score the equaliser against Chile... so Harry can be forgiven these slight misses.
What's important is that he's predicted correctly the end results of what we can all agree are the big matches so far. Below you will also see Harry's prediction for Greece vs Colombia (a win for the central Americans), Uruguay vs Costa Rica (a win for the Costa Ricans, after much deliberation) and for the late game (2am) between Ivory Coast and Japan (a win for the land of the rising sun).
Watch this space tomorrow morning for a look back at the accuracy of Harry's predictions for today and for his thoughts on tomorrow's games!
Disclaimers:
1) No animals were harmed in the making of this feature. Especially Harry who has a lifestyle most hamsters could only dream of.
2) SWAG takes no responsibility for any money you may lose as a result of Harry’s predictions. If you really do make bets on the basis of a ‘psychic’ hamster then maybe you shouldn’t be allowed to bet at all.
